EMR on a Tablet PC

MDoffice is one of the first EMR and practice management systems designed to let you write by hand on a tablet PC. The software can recognize your handwriting, letting you quickly and easily document an encounter the old-fashioned way. You don't need special training.

The computer will let you write notes, type them, or dictate them (the system comes with software that identifies your voice.) If you're standing by an exam table, you can write if you want to. If you're good on the keyboard and can sit down, you can skip laborious handwriting and key in complicated details. If you want to dictate your notes, you can do that too.

Affordable management of forms

If you want to write your notes by hand, but know you need an EMR system, MDoffice charts have the look of your current paper forms but with all the function of notes stored in computers.

You can mark up charts, forms and documents—all by hand. You can draw attention to key words, diagram sections, or check boxes. You can add signatures and other special information or highlighting. MDoffice saves your marked-up forms and documents into the patient record. You can print them whenever you want.

Tailoring documents to fit your taste

You and your staff spend a lot of time filling out paper forms having to do with disability, requisitions and all the other forms required by modern medical practices. MDoffice can add basic repetitive information to paper forms, saving you a lot of time.

You can scan a document into MDoffice then open it with the Designer and tell it to insert whatever relevant information you want into the form. Creating templates with the designer software is easy. All the clinical users in your practice can share the templates or each physician can have his or her own templates.

MDoffice's open-file format lets you share your tailored forms with other users. When administrators share their work, otherwise tedious chores become less of a grind. You can annotate or print during a patient encounter to get more done and improve patient care.

If you have copyright permission to reproduce patient handouts, you can scan them into the system so they're ready on every clinician's desktop.
